Services
We use cedar for a vast majority of our signs. If there is something else you'd like us to work with, please let us know and we will discuss options. Yes, all signs are treated with exterior, oil based stains and paints and are guaranteed against chipping, cracking, and glue joint failure for one year from time of delivery.
At Custom Wood Signs we specialize in distinctive, high quality custom-made signs to represent you, your business, or your community. We look forward to working with you! Do you have a specific layout in mind? Do you have specific colors or stains you would like? Will the design reflect commercial or municipal branding?

Brought in a piece of wood for a sign which simply entailed digitally sandblasting a logo into the center of the wood and drill inset holes for screw. This project was anything but simple. Communication was terrible; every time I spoke with Don (the person in charge), it was as if we were speaking for the first time. I just wanted the logo centered on the wood.
I was open to the size of the logo and if it was a little off, it wouldn't bother me. We agreed upon a digital mock-up to see what "centered" looked like (for some reason he had a very hard time understanding what I meant by "centered"). When I picked up the sign, there were no screw holes for installation and the placement of the logo had 8" on the left and 1" on the right. Hm. Seems it might have been able to be a little more centered.
This is a 2 foot wide sign (plus the top and bottom were not centered, which I is my fault, I didn't specify that per say). I said, well, It's too late now, so it's fine. Just cut off 7" on the wide side and drill those inset holes using that 1" you now have to work with. I left and (since I know Don by now) I emailed him reminding him to make the holes inset for screws, not just nail holes, which I could do in my own.
Since this project was way behind schedule, I added the detail for them to paint the logo, as i would no longer have time to do so before it was being taken to the vacation house. I sent him the logo again to see the color and asked that he try to color match as much as possible. Never got a reply or call back about that detail. He emailed me a couple days later and said the sign was ready.
I sent a courier (had already paid for it). When I received it, there were indeed little holes this time; NOT inset and for tiny nails. Also, the logo was indeed painted; color Black. There were some other weird things and communication mishaps. I never heard back. Never would I ever go here again. Terrible.
