*This review is for the "Smallest Museum on Earth" located in the doorway of Igor's Custom. When we moved back to the area last year, the cousins were in town and we were walking around the Vibe District. We came across this shopping corner with Three Ships Coffee, North End Bag Co, Igor's Custom, Jars of Dust and the Pink Dinghy (am I missing anyone?).
The door to Igor's Custom had "Smallest Museum on Earth", so naturally I was intrigued and went over to have a look-see. In the small doorway, it is packed with random articles from goodness knows where. There are stuff animals (like real animals), Pee Wee Herman doll, Darth Vader, signs etc. Friends were in town for the Shamrock Marathon and I was showing them around the Vibe District.
Of course, I had to show them this little corner of fun. Igor, the owner was hanging out by the door at the time of our visit. Super personable man and just good vibes all around. We had a brief chat about how this little museum came to be. It is largely a collection of personal belongings, but recently, he said that often, people will stop in, have a look and then come back with items that they've had in their possession and just donate it to the museum.
How fun! Right now, even though it's packed in there, you can still see items well. Don't blink because there is so much, but that's also the fun of it! You'll notice something new every visit. Igor may just have to upgrade to "Small" Museum on Earth with all the stuff that's being added LOL. I also follow him on social media and he does beautiful work, in case you need a sign for something. I believe a lot of businesses have had signs made by him. Stay safe, Friends!
