Exterior signs fall into a great many categories. Some are lighted, others not. They can be very large, almost billboard sized or as small as a directional sign in a parking lot. The signs could be channel letters on a raceway, individual channel letters, halo lit channel letters, or even light boxes. Custom Vehicle graphics are one of the fastest growing areas of the sign business. Since the decline of the yellow pages, when businesses spent thousands of dollars per month on advertising, companies have struggled to replace the low cost per view of the phone directory. Over promises, missed deadlines, billing issues, no backend support, poor customer service and not being able to get a return phone call were among the biggest irritants. Lost $745 down payment and still did not get the right size sign. No sign in 2 months. Taking them to court to recover damages. Please read reviews about Scott and check him out at BBB. Wish I would have read reviews. I have to hire another sign company and start from scratch. Don't be fooled by low price he quotes because you would lose your deposit.

Terrible service and communication. I lost $745 down payment for a sign that they didn't install for over a month stating he's having installer problems. Scott doesn't respond to calls or texts. I filed a complaint with BBB and also taking them to court to recover my money. He said that he can deliver the sign and I can get it installed myself which I agreed to.
I scheduled another company to do install but they couldn't install because the signs delivered by Scott was wrong size. I had to pay more money because of Scott's mistake. Stay away from this Company!

Scott is always a pleasure to work with, very fair and professional. Optimum Signs has cleaned up poor work by other companies and is my go to company in all of Wisconsin. The best part of working with them, besides Scott :, is that they not only have exceptional electrical sign installation skills but they are also great at large scale digitally printed graphics and other vinyl work as well.

Very friendly at first meeting but had poor follow up after. I stopped in an needed a simple sign for an apartment building for rent and was assured I'd have someone contact me the next day. I followed up with an email that afternoon and never received a reply. I called two days later and got ahold of the owner who said his graphics designer would be in that afternoon and it was on her priority list to complete that day.
Not only was it not completed I received no further communication. It was a simple sign. I went to a competitor in Waukesha and they walked me through many different options and did the quote on the spot. My sign was ready within 48hrs. If you have a time sensitive project be prepared to be more involved. I can't speak to their quality or performance, only the poor communication and follow through.

When I first contacted Scott about a sign for my new, small business, I was impressed with his quick response and interest in doing business with me. Due to push back from the city on the type of sign I originally proposed and had discussed with Scott, my sign order to Optimum Signs decreased 77% in overall price because I went with a more simplified sign.
From that point forward, it seems my business was not very important to Scott. It took 11.5 weeks to receive the sign --- trails of communication with Scott tend to indicate the order for my sign was not placed on a timely basis, yet Optimum Signs had received a cash deposit from me equal to 2.3x the new sign price. In fairness to Scott for the reduced sign business I had asked Scott to quote prices for some other graphics items --- I received no quotes.
I am pleased with the quality of the pan form sign I received, which was made by another company and simply brokered by Scott. My initial 'small' business with Scott/Optimum Signs may have grown over time; but due to the overall experience in trying to do business with Scott, I will be taking all further signage/graphics business elsewhere.

Optimum Signs demonstrated exceptional expertise and a sharp eye for detail in designing the signage for my office Advanced Focus Eyecare. I am so thrilled on the exterior signs, my wall mounted logo behind my reception desk, as well as the window signage they created. Working closely with them to make sure everything would look just right, I knew my business was in good hands.
