Working out of his basement making paper signs for grocery stores in 1968, Charles (Chuck) Spinoso founded Charles Signs. He gradually expanded his offering over the years, but it wasn't until the early 1980's that major changes in the sign industry took over. The company as well as the industry made the jump from hand painted signs to computer generated vinyl lettering.In 1995, Chuck made the decision to include additional family members in the business. Jim and Linda (daughter) Hickey became financial partners. And, upon Chuck's retirement in 2002, the Hickey's bought out Chuck's remaining shares and now own 100% of the business.
Today, Charles Signs remains a family owned business. The constant over the years has been attention to detail, quality and customer service. The main difference today compared to yesterday, is now the company is completely automated and is considered a state of the art manufacturing facility for signage.

Co., Inc. began the largest expansion and renovation in our corporate history. We wanted to make an impression considering we are located in a rather high visibility area. We worked with Charles Signs for our standard and Illuminated exterior signage, and the results exceeded our expectations. Not impressed. Had a sit down visit with James, and he seemed very reputable and the portfolio presented looked great! I never write reviews as I never have issues with companies. Charles Signs was great until I called to check status on the estimate. Reception told me he would call me back and that he was in a meeting, which happened three times when I called, in a time frame of 3 weeks.
No call back, no status update. Our company was ready to pay down and get this built before end of summer. Would not suggest to anyone, better off going to someone else in the area. A single estimate does not take a month to write, and certainly there was no excuse for zero call backs to our office.

I would like to thank the entire staff at Charles Signs, from Jim Hickey, Michelle Ryan, Debbie Guarasce, Julie Cross, to the installation crew that did a fabulous and beautiful job on the signage for my store "Beyond The Attic Door". I am so happy and proud of the way the signs look and it projects the perfect image for my store! I love the work that was done from start to finish!
