Custom Wood Designs & Mfg. was established in 1979 by Jimmy D. McDonald and incorporated in 1995 as JDM Designs, Inc. Born and raised in San Antonio, Jim moved to Houston in 1973 to attend the University of Houston, majoring in Graphic Communications: Illustration and Advertising. He has applied his creative talents and skills to develop a very unique sign business.
