Keene Signworx is a Custom Sign Shop in Southwestern NH. It is our mission and passion to enrich the commercial landscape of our area with our own style of artistic and creative commercial sign art. We have a genuine interest in the future success of your business and your community. We are passionate about local but we do ship world wide. Our humble beginning was in a small 600 square foot shop in the woods of Walpole, NH in 1985. There I did everything by hand. Wood and paint were our materials of choice, a chisel and brush were the tools.

I would like to briefly introduce myself. My name is Peter Poanessa and I am just a regular guy with a love of the design/build process. I am also owner and founder of Keene Signworx. I studied art for a year at the University of New Hampshire, until I got "a gut feeling" that I was only going to end up teaching, something I didn't want, so I quit and gave in to a young mans itch to wander. During a stint as a salmon fisherman in Alaska, I watched an old sign painter write freehand along a boat's bow.

The sign that we ordered is beautiful. The reason for the low rating is entirely related to the installation process. The installer did not contact our representative to arrange a time to meet as requested and to be shown the planned location for the sign. Dig Safe was not contacted and the sign not only was not aesthetically placed, but it was placed in the danger zone for digging. Additionally the posts were of uneven height and the sign components were not level.
It took 6 months to get the installer back to make corrections. The customer experience was terrible causing delays to other project scheduling. The owner was unapologetic for the original problems and arrogant.

I will write a review for Keene Signworx because I can. This business has done three signs for my various businesses in Marlborough (Zeppelin and Kaleidoscope, Inkubus Haberdashery and Suds to be you). The only negative I could think of is the time the projects take but I'll have to say it's probably due to the fact that they are indeed creative. All my signs are beautiful, well made and arty. As an owner of several businesses I full heartedly recommend them.
