Pam Tinsley at Sign Designs is truly a gem! She cares so much about her clients and will go above and beyond to make sure you are satisfied. First of I got the best logo for my new business, after going through 4 designers- they are the best. Secondly, they made my signs for my new business and they turned out better than expected. Pam Tinsley's customer service is the best!

Overall this company did a Beautiful Sign.but the owner allows and supports SHADY behaviors - BEWARE! BE CAREFUL! They slipped money in on papers in a VERY shady manner. How many of you look for charges with numbers that lack dollar signs and are listed under "volume"? When I asked to speak to the owner he said he did business like this ALL THE TIME! (Very sad.) Cliff note: Communications started with Pam in October to take down a sign and install it on our other building with a matching sign on the other side. April - the project is done. TAKES A LOOOOONNNGG TIME TO GET THINGS DONE THERE! **** I asked for numbers all along the project - including a break down.
All of these numbers were given to me on a form with REAL DOLLARS $$ AND CENTS. There was a pattern of full disclosure in a proper way - until the little sly "slip in". ***** When the team came to install we came to a mutual decision with the "installers" that it would be easier on them and the building to put the sign on a background and hang that - as opposed to hanging each letter.
This decision was to help "them" - not us - or make the sign look better. I was never told how much it would be to "make it easier" - although I asked several times.saying this would reduce labor - right? Don't get me wrong - I figured it would add "a bit more" but it was more than HALF the cost of a NEW sign for them to mount it on a plain background! Had I known it was going to cost that much I would have stuck with what we had originally.
It was already made and approved by the city! I was sent a pink paper that had sign change details.on the header it was listed VOLUME: and a number with no dollar sign or anything. In looking at this revision paper I signed it as just that - a Design Revision to the sign to put it on a metal background. I signed a LOT of papers for her.but where money was concerned - THERE WAS ALWAYS A DOLLAR AMOUNT WITH A DOLLAR SIGN - in a quote/invoice manner.
I'd like to post the papers on here but I don't know how to post a photo on here? The owner was not kind or helpful - he doesn't care at all that this was handled poorly or that money was "slipped in" on the sly. I'm just saying - Very Pretty Sign - BE CAREFUL - THEY SLIP STUFF IN - TOTALLY NOT ETHICAL! OH! - and the sign is not working properly - I now have to pay ANOTHER company to come out and work on the lights and clock. Pretty sucky.

My family opened 2 businesses recently and we are so pleased with the design of our logos and the quality of our signs at a competitive price, we love our signs! Pam, Bud, Mitch and Jim were thorough throughout the process, it took time but it was well worth it! They were very patient with our demands and requests closing locations and opening new ones, we will be back!

It was a pleasure working with Pete and the designers at Sign Designs. Their knowledge is vast - and the many ways that Pete Michelini has given back to the sign industry needs to be commended. He volunteers on industry boards, helps steer committees, gives presentations, and is current President of the California Sign Association. An ethical and congenial man behind the scenes. Thank you for a job well done!

I own For The People Document Service Center here in Modesto, CA. My signs were in need of some major TLC. Both outside signs (which are quite large) needed many new lamps along with ballasts. My timer also needed some refreshing. Sign Designs technicians were quick to come out and assess my signage needs and also quick to install the necessary bulbs and ballasts.
Now Orangeburg and McHenry is lit up and my signs look as good as new. I just received the bill and while it was costly because of all of the repairs and items I needed, I felt it was completely reasonable. I would recommend Sign Designs for any businesses that are in need of signage help. Renne Loureiro For The People 1347 McHenry Ave. Modesto, CA 95350
