I'm a small business owner and my landlord referred me to Jim Wilkins of Vision sign to give me a quote for signage on my business. We had an appointment at 11:00 am. At 11:05 no one had showed up so I called him and he completely forgot that we had an appointment and said he would meet me. He showed up 30 minutes late. Once he showed up we asked him if he had done any signage for any of the other tenants in the plaza.
He stated that he was going to do the signage for the Smoke Shop owner next door to us but that the smoke shop owner was a total pain in the ass and that he was cheap because he was of Indian decent. This is verbatim what he said. I was shocked that some one that is supposed to be a professional would make such derogatory racial statements to someone wanting to potentially do business with him.
I am of Indian decent so this was very offensive to me. I stated to Jim that I was Indian and he basically had the attitude of not caring that he had just insulted me. He didn't apologize and just kept talking. He then proceeded to tell me that he was going to be very expensive because his company is unionized. Jim Wilkins is completely unprofessional and is a total racist. DO NOT do business with this company.

We tried to do business with these people and couldnt even get a call back. One of their salesmen who we will leave unnamed for now came out here on a Monday and promised to have drawings for us by that Wednesday. He called on Wednesday and said that his camera didnt take the pictures he thought he had taken. I guess thats what happens when you mix old age with technology. Anyways he came and re-took the pictures and said he would have something for us by the following Monday. Monday passed without a call, as did Tuesday and Wednesday.
So finally on Thursday i called him directly to remind him i was a potential customer and that he should get on the stick. He promised he would have something for me the very next day, Friday (today). Well around came 11:30 and i still hadnt heard from him so i decided to call someone else at Vision Sign. After 20 minutes of being transffered to empty desks with only generic voice mail greetings and calling back 6 times. I decided to write them off. If you are serious about getting things done in a timely manner and being treated as though you were a valued customer, DO NOT use Vision Sign.
