Rudi founded Let There Be Neon in 1972. He brought together people from divergent paths to form a vibrant group of seekers whose sole goal was to ensure that art touched every project brought to our studio. That spirit continues to guide Let There Be Neon's vision: lean to the past, lean to the future, but always lean!

In the 70's my mother had a little shop in Baltimore called The Rainbow. She came to LTBN and bought a 3' wide neon rainbow to hang in the window. When she passed away a couple of years ago, I wanted to re-hang it. It still worked fine but was literally falling apart. It was a flimsy mess and the wiring was brittle and dangerous. It wasn't mounted so it was difficult to maneuver or move without breaking or having it come apart.
I brought it in and Kate helped me. They completely cleaned and rewired it, mounted it on a sturdy lexan back and made it much safer and better than when new for a price that was ridiculously fair and low. It now shines as bright as the day my mom bought it and now can continue to glow in her spirit for many more years. Thanks Kate and the crew in the back at LTBN from both of us!

This is a classic NYC joint. Nothing says old New York like an old school neon sign company. If you haven't at least visited this place, GO NOW! The team is great and easy to work with, they are experts in this field. They are with you every step of the way, from deciding on design to installing your wonderful piece in your home or business. AND they ship all over the world! So cool. Kate is the best sales rep, ask for her!

Was really excited to check this place out, got there at 4:30pm on a Friday and they very rudely refused to let us into the store. When I asked what the hours were I was told Tuesday to Friday from 9-5. It's not very hard to politely let me know of the hours, but instead the employees raised their voices and told me that they were closed (even though when I asked for the hours they told me it was 9-5). Very confused and sort of disappointed that I had such a bad experience here, it seems like it would've been a cool store.

This shop is awesome!! We are a small neon shop from Salt Lake city and we came in to NY needing back up on a job, and these guys were ready and willing to help us out in any way. They not only gave us a tour of the shop, and some swag, But were super fun and acommodating. we sure appreciate how much better they made the whole NY experience for some small towners! Keep being badasses!

Jeff was amazing to work with - Our brand is based off the wonderful neon sign of our logo he did for my business " THE SWEET SHOP NYC " Jeff and his team are the NEON experts, and when our neon sign was in the Christmas video, Season of Joy, performed by 3KT we received many compliments on our neon. We can not say enough nice things to say other than I am sorry this review took 18 months to finally write! If you are looking into Neon, especially something custom, Let There Be Neon is the only place to go! Period! Thanks again Jeff!
